Hi all,
Daniel Dias Pereira will be presenting our Board Meeting solution on a live webcast this afternoon.
His presentation will be in portuguese:
Webcast 26 - "The Best of Techdays 2008 ITPro" - Innovation Day - Administração Pública Electrónica: Gov 2.0
- CaveDigital (Daniel Pereira): Reuniões e Colaboração Digitais;

Cheers!
Both me and Daniel Pereira just did 70-630. Instead of bragging about it, let's just say it's done, with style

«Microsoft SQL Server 2005 Reporting Services Add-in for Microsoft SharePoint Technologies - Community Technology Preview (CTP) November 2006
Microsoft SQL Server 2005 Reporting Services Add-in for SharePoint Technologies (Reporting Services Add-in) allows you to take advantage of SQL Server 2005 Service Pack 2 (SP2) report processing and management capabilities within Windows SharePoint Services 3.0 or Microsoft Office SharePoint Server 2007. The download provides the following functionality:

Also, pay special attention to:
«Warning: No automatic upgrade support Pre-release versions of the Reporting Services Add-in cannot be upgraded to a future version. As promised, I'm releasing some of our documentation, so here's the following white paper, in portuguese:

Hope it is useful to someone out there
Today will be the last day of this training workshop on Development with SharePoint and K2.net I'm giving - hope it has been helpful to my trainees and that they will succeed and make me proud with every project they do with these technologies.
Here's something I would like to share with everyone

Via Mart,
«KPIUtil.exe is a tool that allows users to connect to both a Microsoft Office Business Scorecard Manager 2005 server and a Microsoft SQL Server 2005 Analysis Services server to do the following:
- Generate SQL Server 2005 Analysis Services key performance indicators (KPIs) from Business Scorecard Manager KPIs.
- Generate Business Scorecard Manager KPIs from SQL Server 2005 Analysis Services KPIs.
- Save a configuration file that contains parameters (including the connection information to the SQL Server 2005 Analysis Services server and the Business Scorecard Manager server) that you entered by using KPIUtil.exe. You can use the saved configuration file either to generate KPIs from a command prompt or to open the configuration file in KPIUtil.exe at a later time.

Today both me and Xana (my better half) have passed our first MCP exam:
70-228: Installing, Configuring, and Administering Microsoft SQL Server 2000 Enterprise Edition!

During this past week, we attended a U2U course by Nico Jacobs here in Portugal: Microsoft SQL Server 2005 for Developers ISV Summer School
Nico did a great job showing the new features and «bells and whistles».
I'm really enthusiastic about Integration Services, Service Broker and Data Mining capabilites on the new SQL Server 2005. Here are some nice screenshots for you guys wondering
Integration Services: This really makes me happy - I can now make in minutes what in the past could easily take me days or weeks!!

Data Mining: SQL Server 2005 eases the entire data mining thing, in a few minutes, we were predicting Bike Buyers profiles based on the Adventure Works sample database

We've also played a bit with Reporting Services, but in my opinion, it still has space for maturing - although as it is, already adds nice functionality for end users and devies (a «devie» - short for «Developer»... I came up with that, seems to be sticking ).
Web Services for your database is also a sexy topic, which we might try on a project we're on, the team is still in the process of deciding - let's see if we will head that way or not.
Bottom line, SQL Server 2005 makes me, as a developer, feel empowered to build better stuff
